3.14 is a perfect day to pause and recognize the need for more math. It is Albert Einstein's birthday. I find it fascinating that people with with logical minds find poetry in mathematics. As a leader of kids, I like that idea of helping them find the poetry in mathematics. Here are five examples to celebrate the ratio 3.14 on Pi Day.

3. Manipulating Digits
Here is a story about a seven year old girl with a really good memory. Her name is Adriana Martin and in kindergarten she was challenged to memorize as many digits as possible for pi. Each year she has increase the number and as of last year according the the story she reached 1,420 digits.
